Airsoft Guns

• Always store your gun in a clean, dry space, away from young children.  If there are very young children around, it is advisable to keep guns locked in a proper firearm storage unit.
• Never leave a gun loaded – or cocked - and be sure to store magazines and guns in separate places.

• Only use high polished, high density, quality airsoft BBs that are perfectly spherical – no visible seams or bubbles. 
• Cheap BBs like those sold at Wal-Mart and general sport goods stores, will cause irreparable damage to gun internals and void out your warranty.
• Please note that some BBs will bill themselves as seamless, when in fact they are not.  They have only been polished so that seams are no longer visible.  Do your research and only buy bbs from respected brands like Goldenball and King Arms BBs.

• Never leave a gun loaded – or cocked - and be sure to store magazines and guns in separate places.
• To prevent jamming and misfires, always check that magazines and clips are free of debris so you don’t have a loading jam. If you choose to recycle airsoft pellets, ensure that they are 100% clean.
• Empty magazines after each use.
• With gas guns, do not use the release valve when expelling gas. Loss of clip pressure can damage a gun.

• Always keep airsoft gun barrels free of obstruction. Whenever cleaning a gun, be sure to set it to safety.
• If you are using an AEG, decompress the spring after every use. In some instances the gun will have a decompression button while others will require that you switch the gun to semi-automatic and fire a few shots. 
• Lubricate the barrel approximately every 6 months with pure silicone oil spray.  Never use petroleum lubricants, water, solvents or general cleansers. And be sure to turn off hop-up before oiling and be careful not to over oil your gun, which can damage bow rings and seals.
• Spray cloth swatch and thread it through the slit in your cleaning rod.  Insert and gently swab the inside of the barrel.  Follow the oiled swatch with a clean piece of cloth, to pick up excess dirt and oil.
• After cleaning, it may take a few fires for hop-up to function.  This is perfectly normal.

Careless use of an airsoft gun can not only cause injuries, it can break the gun and void its warranty. In addition to protecting yourself and others when dealing with airsoft guns, taking proper care of guns is a responsibility that should be taken seriously. Some of the precautions that should be taken to prevent damage and increase the longevity of your airsoft guns may not be obvious. Following manufacturer recommendations as well as these tips is advised:

• Use the right BBs. Note that BBs are available in different sizes and weights, and using the wrong type can cause damage to a gun. Most airsoft guns use 6mm BBs, but check your owner’s manual to be sure you are using the correct BBs for each of your guns. We recommend polished, high-grade, seamless BBs. • Use the correct battery charge time for each gun. The batteries that power airsoft electric guns (AEGs) are sensitive and have specific requirements for the amount of time they are to be charged. Standard chargers do not have a chip that tells them to stop charging when the battery is full, as smart chargers do. Be sure that you know the correct charge time for each of your guns, and do not exceed it. For specific recommendations on calculating charge times, please see Batteries & Charging Your Battery.


• Only cock a spring airsoft gun once per shot. Spring airsoft guns, also known as "cock and shoot" airsoft guns, are designed to be cocked once before shooting one BB. Cocking a spring gun more than once can lead to internal damage and a voided warranty.


• Load BBs correctly. Loading BBs incorrectly is another mistake that can lead to damage to your gun and a voided warranty. The correct procedure for loading BBs varies from gun to gun, so be sure to follow the recommendations from the manufacturer of your gun.


• Do not disassemble your gun. Doing so can void your warranty, and could cause permanent damage to the gun.

Airsoft guns are made of many moving parts, and often endure wear and tear during skirmishes. For these reasons, parts may need to be repaired or replaced on occasion. Taking care of your guns and adhering to all manufacturer recommendations can promote a longer life and more play time for your guns.
